1、How often do you have a holiday?

你多长时间有一个假期?

 

I can have holidays on weekends as most people do. I have two other longer holidays which are also national holidays, one week off for the National Day and the Spring Festival.

就像大多数人一样,我每个周末都会有假期。我还有另外的两个长假——国家法定节日:一周的国庆节和春节。

 

2、What do people do during their vacations?

在假期期间,人们都做些什么?

 

Chinese people have more holidays to enjoy. Especially the National Day holidays are 5 days longer than several years ago. Most people would like to go out on a trip to visit some scenic spots for sight seeing. For those who don't like to be in a huge crowd of people, they may visit friends or do some physical exercises during the vacation.目前中国人可以享受更多的假期。特别是国庆节比前几年多了5天。绝大多数人都喜欢去一些风景区旅游观光。也有一些人不喜欢拥挤的人群,他们会在假期期间去拜访朋友,或者进行体育锻炼。

 

3、What's the difference between holidays today and 50 years ago?

现在的假期和50年前有什么不同?

 

50 years ago, the standard of living is quite backward. People had their holidays but they didn't have money to travel around. Besides, there were not many entertaining facilities for them to enjoy. However, nowadays people can enjoy their holidays to their hearts' content.They almost have all the conditions to fully enjoy their holidays.

50年前,生活水平是非常落后的,人们有假期,但是他们却没有钱旅游,同时也没有多少娱乐设施。现在人们可以尽情地度假,他们几乎拥有所有的条件去充分享受假日的快乐。

 

4、What is your plan for your future holiday?

你对未来的假期有什么打算?

 

I have many plans for my future holiday. The first step is to visit the most famous natural scenic spots in different provinces. I hope I can visit at least three to five of them every year. If it's convenient enough for Chinese citizens to travel abroad, I will consider traveling to some foreign countries. Europe is the place I'm dreaming about.

对未来的假期我有很多打算,第一点是游览各省著名自然旅游景点。我希望我每年至少可以 去三五个地方。如果以后出境旅游对我们中国居民更便利的话,我会考虑去国外旅行,欧洲是我梦想去的地方。

 

5、Do people have longer holidays nowadays?

如今人们有更长的假期吗?

 

It's true that people in China have longer holidays now. There're on average a month of holidays for Chinese workers. The nation stipulates that the workers will enjoy a week holiday in National Day and in Spring Festival. Most companies allow workers to enjoy about a ten-day annual leave as a welfare policy.

现在中国的人们的确享有更长的假期。中国工人每年有一个月的假期。国家规定工人要享受一个星期的国庆节以及春节。绝大多数公司允许工人享受10天的年假作为福利政策。

 

6、Do you think people will spend more time traveling in the future during the holidays?

你认为在将来人们会用更多的时间在假期期间旅游吗?

 

I think people will spend more time traveling in the future during the holidays. Most people feel tired of visiting friends, watching TV during holidays. Those things can be done at any weekends. People are more eager to broaden their horizon in this modern age. Traveling is an approach to achieve this goal. Besides, traveling will bring people lots of fun and relaxation.

我认为在将来人们会花更多的时间在假期旅游。绝大多数人倦于在假期访友或看电视。这些事情可以在任何一个周末去实现。人们更希望在这个现代化的时代开阔他们的视野,旅游有助于实现这一目标。此外,旅行还可以带给人们更多的乐趣和放松。

 

7、to develop Chinese tourism?

中国怎样发展旅游业?

 

The first step for China to develop tourism is to further utilize its great potential in natural tourism resources, including developing and preserving more natural scenic spots and enhancing the human resources for tourism. Secondly, Chinese tourism agencies should maintain and develop cooperative relationships with the relevant agencies in other countries to enlarge the tourism market. In addition, more publicity of the scenic spots will also help the development of tourism.

第一,中国要发展旅游业,就要进一步利用其巨大的自然旅游资源潜力,包括开发和保护更多的自然景点以及增强从事旅游业的人力资源。第二,中国旅游机构应当与其他国家相关机构保持和发展合作关系以扩大中国的旅游市场。另外,加大景点的宣传力度也同样会有助于旅游业的发展。

 

8、How does tourism influence the society?

旅游是怎样影响社会的?

 

First of all, tourism can contribute to the enhancement of the standard of the economic,social and cultural life of people and help to develop people's mental power. Secondly, I believe that the development of tourism in China will also help raise the standard of people's living. Last but not least, tourism can also make a great contribution in provide opportunities to the peoples of the world to meet each other and deepen mutual understanding. China will promote goodwill and friendship with other countries in the world by developing tourism.

首先,旅游有助于提高人民的经济、社会和文化生活水平,有助于开发人们的思维能力。其次,我相信中国旅游业的发展也会有助于提高人民的生活水平。最后,同样重要的是,旅游业还有助于世界各国人民接触沟通,加深相互了解。通过旅游业,中国将本着良好的意愿,促进与世界其他国家之间的友谊。

 

9、What do tourists get from traveling?

游客从旅行中得到什么?

 

The chief purpose for tourists to travel to other places is to widen their horizons. They not only appreciate the local fantastic sights, but also enjoy the different customs, which brings lots of knowledge and fun to the tourists. Besides, people in tours will be away from their jobs, which makes them relaxed and cheerful. Most trips will bring beautiful memories to the tourists.

游客去外地旅行的首要目的是开阔眼界。他们不仅能观赏到当地的神奇景观,而且还能领略到异域的风土人情,同时还能获得许多知识和乐趣。此外,旅行中的人们远离工作,他们会倍感轻松和快乐。绝大多数旅行都会给旅行者带来美好的回忆。

 

10、Could you give some solutions to the harm tourism brings?

您能否提供解决旅游所带来危害的几个方案?

Tourism often damages the environment, the traditional ways, and the unspoiled wilderness. As tourism develops, it also brings harms to the society. I believe the nation should make very strict rules for those tourists who destroy the environment. Besides,more guards can be arranged to protect the scenic spots. In addition, the nation can limit the visitors to some allocated preservation areas.

发展旅游经常以破坏环境、破坏传统习惯和未开发的自然地域为代价。随着旅游业的发展,也会给社会带来一定的危害。我认为国家应该严格立法,惩戒破坏环境的游客。此外,应增加保卫人员,加大对景区环境的保护力度。另外,国家可以限制自然保护区的游客数量。
