Describe one book you like best.You should say:

The book I'd like to talk about is a good little book: Who Moved My Cheese? It is written by Dr. Spencer Johnson of Harvard Business School. It's very short-about 90 pages, big type and lots of white space.

 

It tells the story of two mice and two little people trapped in a maze. All of them are looking for cheese. One of the little mice is good at sniffing, and noticing the changes in the environment. The other goes into action quickly rather than waiting to see how things turn out.These mice's way of looking for cheese is simple but effective. They finally found a new place full of cheese after they lost the first pile of cheese. When the two little people lost their cheese,they couldn't accept the fact. In the end one of them overcame his fear and disappointment and managed to find the new place full of cheese, but the other little person did nothing but complain, so he found nothing.

 

I like this book because it is instructive. It teaches us that one has to face changes in life positively and bravely. From the little mice's success we can see that if you keep things simple and stay in touch with reality you can do better. Another reason I like it is that it is so short and easy to read. You can finish it over the weekend.

 

It is said that this book has been considered one of the most influential and successful books on business ever published. It remained as a bestseller for over 2 years and sold more than 20 thousand copies.

 

我要谈的是哈佛商学院斯宾塞·约翰逊(Spencer Johnson)博士写的一本小书——《谁动了我的奶酪》。非常短——大概90页,字体很大,有许多空白。

 

它讲述的是被困在迷宫里的两只老鼠和两个矮人的故事,他们都在找奶酪,其中一只小老鼠嗅觉很灵敏,注意到了环境的变化,另一只老鼠行动果断。这两只老鼠寻找奶酪的方式简单而有效,在失去第一堆奶酪之后,它们最终找到下一个堆满奶酪的新地点。而当这两个矮人失去他们的奶酪时,他们接受不了这样的事实,最后,其中的一个人克服恐惧和泪丧找到了一个充满奶酪的新地点,但是另一个矮人除了抱怨什么也不做,所以他什么也没找到。

 

我喜欢这本书,因为它颇具教育性,它教育我们一个人必须积极勇敢地面对生活中的变化,从小老鼠的成功经验我们可以看到,如果你把事情简单化,并且正视现实,你就会做得更好。我喜欢它的另一个原因是它简单易懂,你一个周末就可以看完它。

 

据说这本书被认为是商业书籍出版以来最畅销的一本书,两年间一直是最畅销的书籍,目前销量已达到两万本以上。
