Part Three

 

1、What films did you like to watch when you were a child?

当你是小孩的时候,你喜欢看什么电影?

 

I used to like watching war movies when I was a child because their plots weren't complex and the severe scenes of fight were exciting. In old war movies bad persons always died in the end. I liked the happy ending that the enemies were defeated. When I grow up, I go for ethical movies with touching stories. I like to analyze the personalities of the characters and try to dig the deeper meaning in the stories.

孩童时代我喜欢看战争片,因为情节不是很复杂,而且打斗场面很刺激。在老的战争片里,坏人通常在最后结束生命,我喜欢敌人被击败的喜剧收场。长大后,我喜欢一些触动人心的伦理片。我喜欢分析主人公的性格,然后挖掘故事里更深层次的意义。

 

 

2、Do you like foreign movies or Chinese movies?

你喜欢看外国电影还是中国电影?

 

Like most young people, I like foreign movies because they have better sound and visual effects. As we know, the costs of most foreign movies are much higher than those of Chinese ones, which makes it possible for the film companies to make use of many modern techniques.Besides, I think many foreign film stars are prettier and have better performance.

像大多数年轻人一样,我喜欢外国影片,因为它们有更好的声音和视觉效果。我们都知道,大多数外国影片的成本比国产的要高,这样就使电影公司能有使用现代技术的可能。此外,我觉得很多国外电影明星比国内的更好看,演技更高。

 

3、Do you like the movies with pretty actors and actresses?

你喜欢漂亮演员演的电影吗?

 

Yes, it is pleasant to watch pretty faces. At least it is a kind of visual enjoyment. But l also like the movies with touching stories.

是的,好看的演员当然赏心悦目,至少是一种视觉上的享受。但是我也喜欢那些触动人心的电影。

 

4、What are the differences in watching movies between now and the past?

过去和现在看电影,有什么不同?

 

In the past, people had few chances to watch movies because there were only dozens of movies produced every year. Many foreign movies were not allowed to enter Chinese cinemas. It was like a feast to watch a movie when I was a child. But now there are more and more cinemas with pretty good equipments. More local movies are produced and the regulation of importing foreign movies is loosened.

以前,人们很少有机会看电影,因为每年都只有十几部电影产出。很多外国电影那时是不允许引进中国市场的。当我还是个小孩的时候,看电影就是一件赏心快事。但现在越来越多设备精良的电影院建成,更多的当地电影被制作出来,引进外国电影的政策也放宽了。

 

5、What famous film stars are there in your country?

你们国家有哪些著名影星?

 

Among the numerous film stars, I like the actress Gong Li best. She became well-known in1987 after staring the film directed by Zhang Yimou, The Red Sorghum. From then on she stared various movies, performing the characters like concubine, prostitute, or common farmer women. Every time she succeeded.

在众多的电影明星当中,我最喜欢巩例了。她在1987年因出演由张艺谋导演执导的电影《红高梁》而出名。自那以后,她出演的各种角色,和情人、妓女、普通农村妇女,都很成功。
