1、What's the difference between the sports men like and women like?

男人和女人喜欢的运动有何不同?

 

Men tend to like sports that involve fierce competition, while women prefer exercises which are not tough. For example, men like playing football and basketball, in contrast, women like doing aerobics and yoga.

男性倾向于喜欢包含激烈竞争的运动,然而女性更喜欢柔和的运动。比方说,男人喜欢足球和篮球,与之相反,女人喜欢有氧运动和瑜伽。

 

2、Do you think whether people like to watch a match or play in a match?

你认为人们是否喜欢看比赛或参与比赛?

 

It depends. Some people wish to show their best in the competition. Though feeling tired,they can get a strong physique. While for the people like me, they would rather sit in front of a television or in a stadium, watching others play.

这要看情况了。一些人希望在比赛中努力展现。尽管感到疲劳,但是他们可以得到强壮的体魄。然而有些人像我这样,他们宁可坐在电视机前或体育场里,看其他人比赛。

3、Do people in your country regard sports as important?

你们国家的人注重运动吗?

 

Well, we do. We have a slogan saying, "Improve people's physical health through promoting sports." At schools, we hold sport meetings twice each year, and besides P.E. classes, we attend various training courses such as swimming, skating and running.

嗯,是的。我们有一个口号是这样说的:“发展体育运动,增强人民体质”。在学校,我们一年举办两次运动会,除了体育课,我们参加各种各样的培训课,比如游泳、滑冰、跑步。

 

4、What's the relationship between sports and age?

运动和年龄的关系是什么?

 

For the people who like sports, age doesn't play an important role, especially in the popular sports. For example, a small boy, who is a soccer fan, can tell you the names of the athletes in most of the important teams. He has pictures of them and knows the results of large numbers of games.

对于那些喜欢运动的人来说,年龄不是那么重要,特别是在大众运动中。比如说,一个小男孩是个足球迷,能告诉你绝大部分重要的足球队里运动员的名字。他有他们的照片,还知道很多比赛的结果。

中国人喜欢什么运动?

 

Table tennis, football, and basketball enjoy wide popularity in China. Besides, gymnastics,swimming, and skating are also popular among the public.

乒乓球、足球和篮球在中国很普及。此外,体操、游泳和溜冰在公众中也很流行。

 

6、When do you watch them?

你什么时候看体育比赛?

Normally, only in the evening or at weekends have l got time to watch sports on television.通常,只有在晚上或在周末我才有时间在电视上看体育节目。

 

7、How do people do fitness training in China?

在中国,人们如何进行健康锻炼?

 

Most people attend various training courses, doing aerobics, yoga or learning dancing.Others buy bodybuilding equipment to do exercises by themselves. For example, many people have jogging machines at home, and they can do sports any time.

绝大部分人参加各种各样的培训课程,做有氧运动、瑜伽或者学习跳舞。其他人买健身器材来锻炼。比如,很多人家里有跑步机,他们可以随时做运动。

 

8、How often do you watch sports programs?

你多长时间看一次体育节目?

 

I don't always have time to watch sports programs, but if I know in advance that my favorite sports game will be replayed this evening, I will watch it. If there is a live show of my favorite sports, I will also watch it on TV.

我不是总有时间看体育节目,但是如果我事先知道我最喜欢的体育比赛今晚将要重播,我会去看。如果有我喜欢的比赛现场直播节目,我也会看电视。

 

9、What sports require a lot of courage to do?

什么运动需要很大胆量去做?

 

Car racing requires much more courage than other sports, for there is not only fierce competition but also the danger of crashing in this sport. While watching a car racing, I always can't help holding breath on seeing a car overtaking another.

赛车比其他运动需要更大的胆量,因为不仅仅是激烈的竞争,还有撞车的危险。每当我看赛车比赛时,看到一辆车超过另一辆的时候,我总是几乎无法呼吸了。

 

10、Can you describe the sports facilities in your city?

你能形容一下你所在城市的体育设施吗?

 

Sports facilities now can be seen in almost every community in big cities. People can go swimming in a swimming pool or do sports in a gym. We've got the stadiums to hold national and international sports events.

大城市里几乎在每个社区都可以看到体育设施。人们可以去游泳池游泳或去体育馆做运动。

我们有举办全国性以及国际体育大赛的体育场。

 

11、Do you think that there is a strong competition between the contestants in sports?

你认为在比赛中参赛者之间有很大的竞争吗?

 

Yes, I believe so. As a contestant, each one hopes that he can show his best in the contest thus strong competition is inevitable. Besides, nowadays being a champion not only means honor but also brings money.

是的,我相信是。作为一个参赛者,这样激烈的竞争是不可避免的。此外,成为一个冠军不仅意味着荣誉,还可以得到钱。

 

12、Are advertisements necessary in sports events?

在体育比赛中,广告是有必要的吗?

 

Advertisements do a lot of good in improving sports, and it helps to make sports more enjoyable. You cannot imagine watching a football match without seeing advertising boards around the court. Advertisements mean money. With the help of advertisers, we pay less for each ticket. Besides, players, organizers and all the related groups can share the profits.

在改善体育运动当中广告是大有神益的,它可以使运动变得更有乐趣。你很难想象在看足球赛时场地四周没有广告板。广告意味着钱,有了广告客户的帮助,我们就可付更少的钱买票。此外,运动员、组织者和所有相关的团体都可以分享盈利。

 

13、What do you think of fitness training?

你怎么看健身训练?

 

By attending all kinds of training under the experts' guide, we can keep good shape and have strong body. It has become a way of modern life.

通过参加各种有专家指导的训练,我们可以保持好的体形,还可以拥有强壮的身体。这已经成为现代的一种生活方式。

 

14、What were popular sports ten years ago?

10年前流行什么运动?

 

Ten years ago, table tennis was very popular. Also people would play basketball or volleyball in their spare time.

10年前, 乒乓球非常受欢迎。另外,人们在休闲时间打篮球或排球。

 

15、Do you think that sports stars should earn more money than other people?

你认为体育明星应当比其他人赚更多的钱吗?

 

Of course, they do earn more money than other people. Besides the income from their profession, the stars can make money from advertising. They allow the companies to use their names or figures of them, and they are paid for this. They deserve all these, for they have worked much harder than others before and after they become famous.

当然,他们比其他人挣得更多。除了职业上的收入以外,体育明星还可以通过做广告赚钱。他们有偿地授权公司使用他们的姓名或肖像。这些是他们应得的,因为在成名之前和成名之后他们比其他人付出了更多的努力。
