         As is vividly depicted in the two cartoons of sharp contrast, two young persons have very different attitudes towards work. A girl in the left picture is concentrating on her homework, considering "better to finish as soon as possible", while in the right picture, a boy is sitting idly in front of a desk, planning "∀doing anything until the deadline".

 

        Obviously, the cartoons are best characterized by the emphasis on the importance of good habits,which reveals a truth that favourable time-management and self-discipline can have a great positive influence on one's study and work. On the one hand, good time management is both a key factor of achievements in study or work and an essential skill for individual growth and development. Only by cherishing time and arranging it properly can we achieve our goals efficiently. On the other hand, as the saying goes, "What goes around comes around", people who cannot achieve self-discipline will pay some price. Self-discipline is the guarantee of personal execution, which motivates us to act in a timely manner rather than to put off. It is no exaggeration to say that procrastination will eventually make us nothing.
        The fast-paced life in modern society is full of temptations, requiring that young people in the new era develop good habits, such as being strict with ourselves, overcoming procrastination and scheduling time,as to promote personal growth and development and ultimately contribute to social advancement.
