1、Which one do you prefer: the school with single-sexed students or the one with both?

你喜欢哪种类型的学校?男女分校还是男女同校?

 

I have never been to the school with single-sexed students. I prefer the school with girls and boys as well. I think when one is growing up, it is important to learn to deal with the opposite sex. If in a single-sexed school, one will lose the opportunity. And I think one is prone to some psychological problems if living in an environment where there is only same sex.

我从来没进过只有单一性别的学校,我喜欢男女生混合的学校。我认为学会怎么处理与异性之间的关系对一个人的成长也是很重要的,在一个单一性别的学校里,我想就没机会学到了,而且,如果一个人生活在只有同性的环境里,也很容易出现心理上的问题。

 

2、Do you think it good for children to learn musical instruments?

你认为孩子学习乐器有好处吗?

 

It depends. It is good to learn some musical instruments if the children have the interest and gift. It helps to develop the intelligence and cultivate the art feeling. But parents shouldn't force their children to do so.

这个因人而异,如果孩子对乐器感兴趣或有天赋的话,那么学习一些乐器是很好的。那样有助于发展孩子们的智力和培养他们的艺术情操,但是家长们不可以强迫自己的孩子去这么做。

 

3、What's the most important quality of a good teacher?

好老师最重要的素质是什么?

 

I think a good teacher should understand the psychology of students. It doesn't matter how much knowledge the teacher has. But he or she should be good at teaching students how to learn. And a good teacher should be honest and sincere.

我想一个好老师首先应该很好地了解学生的心理,一个老师有多渊博不重要,但更重要的是教会学生怎样学习,老师还应该要为人正直真诚。

 

4、Why do some people choose being teacher as their career?

为什么有些人选择当老师?

 

I think being a teacher is a noble and respectable career in China. The status of teachers is rising. Teachers' income is much higher than before. I think these advantages promote more people to choose this career.

我想,在中国,教师是个体面和受人尊敬的职业,教师的地位也在不断地提高。教师的收入也比以前高了好多,我想这些优势都促使了很多人想成为教师。

 

5、What kinds of schools are there in China?

中国有什么类型的学校?

 

The schools are mostly state-owned in China. They are public schools funded by the state.There appear some private schools now, including primary schools and colleges. They are more expensive. There are fewer students in these schools.

中国绝大多数的学校都是国家办的,它们都是政府投资办的公立学校。但现在也出现了包括小学、大学在内的许多私立学校。它们的学费更昂贵,这样的学校只有很少的学生。
