1、What impression do you have when you visit ancient buildings?

I will remember our ancestors and think about what happened in those buildings.

Well, it is hard to say. Ancient buildings are part of history, and they will still be there for thousands of years and even longer.

People will think more about history, and local people will be proud of the city in which they are living. For example, Beijing people are so happy to talk about the Summer Palace, one of the most famous historical sites.

人们会更多地思考历史,当地人们会为他们居住的城市而感到自豪。比如说,北京人就很乐意去谈论当地很有名的名胜古迹—顾和园。

 

5、What's the difference between the buildings now and the ones of 20 years ago?

现在的建筑和20年前的有什么区别?

 

The style has changed greatly. Also nowadays there are more high buildings than before.The structure is modern and stylish.

风格有很大的改变。现在涌现出更多的高层建筑,结构更有时尚个性。

 

6、Why do people like famous buildings?

为什么人们喜欢著名的建筑?

 

Usually people can do some research about those famous buildings and talk about the construction principles. They are also impressed by the fantastic skill of craftsmen.

7、Are there any ancient buildings in your hometown?

Yes, there are many buildings of Qing Dynasty in my hometown. There are ancient temples, palaces and tombs.

8、Can you describe the home you live in?

你可以描述一下你住的地方吗?

 

I live in an apartment. It is not very big but rather clean and cozy. There're three bedroorns with two bathrooms and a kitchen.

我住在公寓里,不大但干净温馨。有三个卧室、两个洗手间和一间厨房。

 

9、What's the difference between houses and flats?

别墅和公寓有什么区别?

 

A house is bigger and usually with a garden, while a flat is much smaller, and just one part of a high building.

别墅更大,通常带有花园;公寓相对来说小很多,只是高层建筑的一部分。
