三、老师

 

Describe a teacher who made the deepest impression on you.

You should say:

who he / she was

where he / she taught

what he / she taught

and explain what impressed you most when he / she taught you.

范文：

 

Here I'd like to talk about my Chinese teacher in high school, whose surname is Lee.

Mr. Lee was tall and thin, and always vigorous, although he was in his fifties. What impresses me deeply at the first sight was his sonorous voice. He never used the microphone like other teachers, but his voice could be heard even by the students at the last row of the classroom.

 

At the first class Mr. Lee didn't teach us the text on the book, but delivered a dramatic speech about the glorious history of Chinese literature, from classic of poetry, the oldest poetry collection in China, to modern novels. At the end of the speech he recited an ancient prose. We were all attracted by the polished article and his magnetical voice. Mr. Lee was good at instructing texts in lively ways, which make the class active. Having Chinese class was the most enjoyable thing for me. He never enforced the assignments but directed us to do a lot of reading, which cultivated our appreciation for literature.

 

After graduation from the high school, I still keep in touch with him. I consult with him my problems in study and he is always helpful and patient. I think he is a teacher I admire the most.

 

在这里我想谈论一下我在高中时期的一位姓李的教我语文的老师。

 

李老师又高又瘦,尽管那时他已经50多岁了,但他依然充满着激情。他给我印象最深的是他那洪亮的声音。他从来不像其他老师那样使用麦克风,但他的声音却可以让坐在最后一排的同学听得清清楚楚。

 

李老师在给我们上第一堂课时,并没有照本宣科式地上课,而是给我们做了一次关于中国文学史的演讲——从古诗诗经到当代小说。最后他用一首古代散文作为自己此次演讲的结尾。我们在场的所有人都被那华美的辞藻和他那富有磁性的嗓音深深地吸引住了。李老师很擅长寓教于乐的教学方式。语文课成为了我最喜欢的一门课。李老师从不会在课下给我们留笔头作业,但他会鼓励我们去博览群书,以此来提高我们的文学鉴赏能力。

 

在高中毕业之后,我也一直与李老师保持联系。他总是乐于助人,并耐心地和我交流我在学习中遇到的问题。我想他是我最为尊敬的一位老师。
