1、What's the attitude of the government toward the elders?

政府对老年人的态度是怎么样的?

 

The government has taken some measures to provide the elders with basic daily necessities. And if the old have no children, the government will give them free accommodation and food. They will be provided with government relief month by month.

政府已经采取措施给老人们提供基本生活所需。如果老人没有孩子,政府会给他们提供住房和食物。他们每个月还会从政府那儿得到救济金。

 

2、What's the different attitude between the young and the old towards life in China?

年轻人和老年人对待生活的态度有什么区别?

 

Young people are really keen on life, and they want to have freedom. When they live, they want to enjoy everyday. As for the old, sometimes, their lifestyle is boring, and they are quite traditional and conservative. They don't want to try the new things in life.

年轻人很珍惜生命,而且他们想要自由。当他们活着的时候,他们想要享受每一天。但是有时候对于老人,他们的生活模式是枯燥的,而且他们很传统、很保守。他们不想要尝试新事物。

 

3、Can you talk about some disadvantages against the elders in the society?

你可以谈一下在社会中老年人的一些不便之处吗?

 

It's really difficult for them to have some entertainment. For example, they seldom have the opportunities to watch films or listen to songs which are just for them. Besides,manufacturers seldom make comfortable clothes or shoes for the old. As a result, it's difficult for them to buy what they like.

他们想要娱乐的话比较困难。例如,他们几乎没有机会看到或者听到专门给他们的电影和音乐。除此以外,制造商几乎从不制造舒适的衣服或鞋子给老年人。结果,老人很难买到他们所喜爱的衣物或鞋。

 

4、What should you pay attention to when you take photos of the old?

你给老年人照相时应注意什么?

 

I shouldn't make them stand or sit for a long time because they get tired very easily. Besides, you should catch their expression quickly because unlike the young they won't pose long.

我不会让他们站很久或者坐很久,因为他们很容易累着。除此以外,我还会快速地抓拍他们的表情,因为他们不像年轻人那样可以摆姿势摆得很久。

 

5、What's the main problem of Chinese old people?

中国老年人的主要问题是什么?

 

They most worry about their welfare. Some old people used to work in factories, but nowadays, many of them are closed down. They don't know where they can get their pension.

他们绝大多数会担心他们的福利。一些老年人过去在工厂里工作,但是现在他们工作的工厂很多都倒闭了。他们不知道去哪里领退休金。

 

6、What's the main problem of old men in their jobs?

老年人在他们工作时遇到的主要问题是什么?

 

They have a lot of experience, but maybe their experience is out of date. They always try to show their authority in the work, and this is going to cause conflicts with others. Besides,they are reluctant to accept new ideas, which may hinder their development.

他们是有很多的经验,但是他们的经验可能已经过时了。他们总是想要在工作中表现出他们的权威,但这也会引发和他人的争执。此外,他们也不愿意接受新思想,这样会阻碍他们的发展。

 

7、What's the influence of old people in their family?

长辈在他们的家庭中有怎样的影响力?

 

They are organizers of some important events. For example, when they celebrate birthdays, their children will have a get-together to make them happy. They are, to some extent, the spiritual symbol of their family.

他们是重要会议的组织者。例如,他们庆祝生日时,他们的孩子都会聚在一起来让他们开心。

从某种程度而言,长辈是一个家庭的精神支柱。

 

8、What's the influence of the old people on you?

长辈对你有什么影响?

 

Their rich experience will enlighten us, and we can learn patience from them. They are quite tolerated, and this is also what we need.

他们丰富的经验可以指导我们,而我们也可以从他们身上吸取经验教训,他们的宽容也是我们需要学习的。
