二、家庭

 

1、Tell me something about your family.

跟我说说你家里的情况。

 

In my family, four generations live under the same roof. Although we have so many people,each of us gets on well with others.

我的家四世同堂。我们虽然人很多,但是我们都能彼此相处得很融治。

 

2、Who usually does housework in your family?

你们家里一般谁做家务?

 

My mother does. She is laborious and keeps herself busy all the time.

我妈妈做。她总是很辛苦而且总是让自己很忙。

 

3、Do you do the housework? What housework do you do in your family?

你干家务吗?一般你干什么家务?

 

Sometimes I help my mother do some cleaning work. But mum says I am a trouble machine and always break something by carelessness.

我有时候会帮妈妈做一些清洁工作。但是妈妈总是说我是一个捣蛋鬼,因为我总是不小心弄坏东西。

 

4、What changes have taken place in the status of family members as time changes?

随着时间的推移,家庭成员的地位有没有什么改变?

 

In my opinion, the most significant change is the change of relationship between generations.Currently, in most families, parents and children can sit down and compare notes on certain issues, which were impossible several years ago.

在我看来,最重大的变化无非就是几代人之间的关系。就目前而言,在绝大多数的家庭中,父母和儿女可以坐下来对一些无法做决定的事情展开讨论,这在几年前几乎是不可能的。

 

5、What kind of housework do you think is most important?

你认为什么样的家务最重要?

 

As far as l am concerned, cooking is the housework which can be ranked No.1. In China,we have a very famous saying: hunger breeds discontentment.

在我看来、做饭在家务中是最重要的。在中国,我们有一句很有名的话:民以食为天。

 

6、What changes have been brought about the advancement of science and technology?科技的进步带来了什么样的改变?

 

Well, it makes life much easier. In the past, my mum had to spend half a day in washing clothes. Currently, with the use of washing machine, it takes only 1 hour.

嗯,它使我们的生活更加轻松。在过去,我的母亲不得不花费一天的时间来洗衣服。现在,用洗衣机洗衣服只需要1小时。
