Nowadays,perfectionism whether{whether perfection} is a bane or a boon has arose a heated debate among people throughout the world.Someone argues that perfectionism is a vital character to innovate and reach improvement.On the contrary,those who hold the view {增加谓语argue} that the pursuit of perfection cannot reflect character and{or} instead undermine{否定并列用or；或者用not...and not...} one’s self-esteem.From what has been mentioned above,in my opinion,it is not recommend to keep perfectionism,especially in a long term.

 

First but{and} foremost,perfection is not beneficial to one’s physical and mental development{与结构it is not recommend to keep perfectionism,especially in a long term.一样；可以改为：perfection for one’s physical and mental development fail to obtain benefits.}.A person who strictly requiring himself in the highest standard does something out of perfection,which{改为who，因为代替的是a person，而不是代替前半句，因为“感觉”指的是前面的“人”} will feel tired,anxious and even get sick under the pressure.Furthermore,keeping perfection in a long term may produce great amount of stress leading to make people lose confidence as well as trigger bad emotion.Therefore, the pursuit of perfection is incapable of helping people cultivate self-esteem.

 

Besides,it cannot be denied that perfectionism is only captured in a moment, which means long-term perfectionism makes negative effect on people.As we all know,nobody can be prefect forever as we should accept our imperfection{由于不是虚拟，所以改为：our imperfection fail to be eliminated}.If someone always insist perfectionism,he will waste much unnecessary{much/a little跟形容词或副词的比较级，所以改为much more unnecessary} time and energy .For instance,a person who is perfectionism{改为perfect“形容词”，因为be后接形容词作表语} is unsatisfied with his appearance,he may spend a great amount of money and energy on the plastic surgeon in order to get the most perfect appearance.Under this circumstance,not only will he pay numerous financial bills,but also possibly face economic crisis or even bankruptcy.

Admittedly,it is essential that people pursuit perfectionism in some occupations such as health care,telecommunications and so on. However,for some ordinary people,they are not required to be perfect under their own condition.{they是主语不能代替宾语；改为：the perfectionism for some ordinary people is not required under their own condition.}

 

In conclusion,advantageous as it is,perfectionism does have its disadvantages in the long term.The pursuit of perfectionism is not the crucial character for the public,thus it is necessary to accept our own imperfection or utilize perfection in the appropriate way.
