Dialogue One

 

A: Do you ever eat fast food?

B: Yes, I do.

A:   1   

B:Oh,you know,hamburgers,sandwiches and pizza.

A:OK. And how often do you eat fast food? Every day, more than once a week or less than once a week?

B: Well, Monday to Friday when I'm working, almost every day, but I never have it on weekend.

A:And what time of the day do you eat fast food?

B: Well, at work as I said, you know at lunch time. Sometimes, if I'm going out and l have no time to cook for myself in the evening,   2   

A: And what do you think of the fast food? Is it really as you said "convenient"?

B:Sure,   3   

A: Do you often say to your friends that in some way it tastes good?

B: Yes, I mean it's not as good as the food in restaurants, but it's not bad.

A: Is fast food good for you?

B: No, standing up and eating quickly is a little bad.   4   You know there're not enough vegetables and fruit. I am paying for the convenient meals. In this way I can have more spare time.

 

A. that's sort of the main reason that l eat it.

C. The food itself isn't healthy.

D. What kind of fast food do you usually eat?

 

Dialogue Two

 

Ben: Hello, Steve! Where have you been these days?

Steve:Hello,Ben!   5   

Ben: I didn't notice your seat was empty until the teacher called names just now. She called your name three times but nobody replied.

Steve: I'm sorry that I didn't call the teacher.

Ben: I heard that you fell when climbing the mountain last weekend.

Steve: Yes, I did. Last Friday morning, when I started to climb the mountain the weather was fine, as I nearly got to the top of the mountain, it suddenly changed.   6   

Ben: So you'd better return at once, for you were cold and wet then.

Steve: yes, I did. But walking in the rain was hard for me to keep the balance of my body.   7  

Ben: Did you see a doctor?

Steve: Yes. Though I still can't walk as usual, there's nothing serious. The reason why l have to lie in bed is my fever after that.

 

A. It began to rain heavily and the temperature dropped a lot.

B. So I had a fall and hurt my knee on the way back.

C. I didn't take an umbrella with me then.

D. I stayed at home.

 

Dialogue Three

 

Policeman: Excuse me, madam.

Madam: Yes?

Policeman: Would you mind letting me take a look in your bag?

Madam: What?   8   Now go away.

Policeman: I'm afraid I have to do so. It's my duty in the supermarket, madam.

Madam: Who are you? Go away, or I will call the police.

Policeman: I am a policeman. Here is my police card.

Madam: Really? Do you always look into people's bags if you like?

Policeman: No.   9   

Madam: What do you mean?

Policeman:Well,perhaps you've got things that haven't been paid for in your bag.

Madam: What are you talking about? I'm honest. I won't let you check my bag.

Policeman: Well, if you are honest, you wouldn't mind, would you?   10   I don't want to do anything to hurt you.

 

A. I'm afraid I will certainly mind if you do so.

B. So may I look into your bag, madam?

C. I will do so whenever I have a reason to believe that something in your bag that belongs to someone else.

D. How can you dare to do so?
